Jan Maas

Jan Maas is a Dutch mathematician working in mathematical analysis and probability theory, with a current focus on optimal transport. He holds a PhD degree (2009) from TU Delft. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Warwick and the University of Bonn. In 2014 he joined the faculty of IST Austria where he is currently Professor and leader of the Stochastic Analysis group. He received an ERC Starting Grant in 2016.
